Educational Program: 6:40-7:40 PM Scope: A Tool for Building Strong Business Operations with Karen Hallis, JD, CPC owner of Organized Change.

Scope is essential for business relations with clients, employees, vendors and colleagues. Scope can provide guidance when situations become unclear. Enforcing scope that's clearly written in an agreement can prevent stress and can save business owners time and money. Using scope in a consistent manner both builds boundary-setting skills and sharpens the client screening process.

About our speaker:

Karen Hallis, JD, CPC started organizing at age 5 and opened her first organizing business as a teenager. She learned the essentials of organizing and observed how people live and why they get lost in their belongings. Karen has worked as an attorney (she started as a paralegal) in the areas of environmental law, child welfare and family law. She decided to shift her life focus after an extended cancer treatment regimen and opened her organizing practice in 2000. She combined her skills as an attorney, forensic custody investigator and certified professional coach to provide skills tailored to clients, most of whom are in the midst of complicated situations and deep change. Karen used the first two years of the Corona Virus pandemic to study environmental sustainability is and is certified as a beach watcher and beach naturalist. She's working on her certification as a WA State Naturalist and will finish in 2022.
